What is the MUKISA programme?
The MUKISA programme creates opportunities and supports the integration of the Asylum Seeker and Refugee Community. We build the capacity of individuals and communities through training and learning opportunities. We know that barriers to education and lack of familiarity with the Irish employment system limits opportunity to be confident and active citizens in Ireland. We offer self-development opportunities, we break down cultural, language and social barriers and offer open access to learning. We focus on enabling positive integration so that individuals are empowered economically and socially.
Our Vision
A world where our geographical location does not need to match our place of birth in order for us to thrive in society.
Our Mission
To expose the systems we inhabit and raise the voices of those oppressed by them; through access to education, leadership development, empowerment and participation.
How we support participants
